To set up the MiniCV Bluetooth device on you Mac OSX machine, please take the following steps for Jaguar or Panther. If you are using Tiger, follow the instructions on TigerbluetoothInstructions.html
- Make sure you have a Bluetooth module installed in your computer or a USB Bluetooth module connected to your computer.
- Open "System Preferences" and click "Bluetooth".
- Select the "Devices" tab.
- Click "Pair New Device".
- On the "Show Only" drop down Select "All Devices"
- On the "Device Category" drop down Select "All Categories"
- Select the MiniCv Bluetooth device and click "Pair".
- Enter the four digits "1111" and click OK".
- The Bluetooth MiniCV device is set up. Quit The Bluetooth Hardware Setup.
To set up the Bluetooth serial port, please take the following steps:
- Open the "Bluetooth Serial Utility", located in the "Applications/Utilities" folder on your hard-disk.
- The "Bluetooth Serial Ports" page will be displayed. Click "New".
- Type the port name "minicv", making sure that it is all in lower case
- Select the "Outgoing" port direction.
- Click "Select Device". The "Select Bluetooth Service" page is displayed.
- Select "MiniCv" and then the "Bluewave" service.
- Click "Select" to close the "Select Bluetooth Service" page.
- Select "RS-232" from the "Port Type" combo box.
- Click "OK".
- The serial port is set up and ready to use.
- Close the "Bluetooth Serial Utility".
