Angelo has developed a range of midi controllers and instruments to interface computers to sensors with MIDI, control voltage, and Open Sound Control (OSC). Angelo's introduction to instrument building was his development of a compositional tool for personal computers called Algorithmic Composer, which enables composers to construct musical structures by connecting virtual objects with virtual patch cables. The performer can then interact with the structures using a mouse, keyboard, and Midi device. Angelo was awarded the Sydney Mechanics School of Arts Award in Theoretical Studies and a Bachelor of Arts (Music) with First Class Honours.

In addition to software instruments, Angelo has ventured into the development of physical instruments. Some of the instruments include the Dumb Controller, a Control Voltage (CV) to Midi--Midi to CV Midi controller; the Smart Controller, a portable hardware device that allows performers to create music using Programmable Logic Control, which capable of reducing the number of electronic modules required, particularly the requirement of a laptop computer, in a live performance; and more recently, a CV to Open Sound Control (OSC) converter under the auspices of the Australia Council.

Algorithmic Composer

Algorithmic Composer is a compositional tool that enables composers to construct musical structures by connecting virtual objects -- like metronomes, counters, etc... -- with virtual patch cables. The performer can then interact with these structures using a mouse, keyboard, microphone, and MIDI device.

Dumb Controller

The Dumb Controller is a device used for converting control voltages to definable MIDI messages and visa versa.

Smart Controller

The Smart Controller is a portable hardware device that allows performers to create music using Programmable Logic Control. The device can be programmed remotely through the use of a Patch Editor, which is an independent computer application that simulates and communicates with the hardware. The Smart Controller responds to input control voltage, MIDI, and Open Sound Control messages, producing output control voltage, MIDI and Open Sound Control messages (depending upon the patch). The Smart Controller is a stand alone device -- a powerful, reliable, and compact instrument -- capable of reducing the number of electronic modules required, particularly the requirement of a laptop computer, in a live performance.

Mini CV MIDI Controller

The Mini CV Controller is a low cost, entry level CV to MIDI / MIDI to CV converter suitable for integration into third party instruments. Additionally, the Mini CV Controller can be upgraded for wireless operation using Bluetooth, which generates Open Sound Control messages.

Micro CV Wireless Controller

The Micro CV Controller is a sensor interface that provides wireless interface using Bluetooth, which generates Open Sound Control messages.
