Angelo Fraietta - Guitar

Angelo Fraietta originally played "blues" guitar at the age of 15; influenced by such greats as Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Winter, Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters and BB King.

His anxiousness to achieve led him to the Newcastle Conservatorium in 1987, where he studied classical guitar, and in 1994, Angelo commenced studying from Gregory Pikler at the Sydney Conservatorium. The next year he performed in the Sydney Guitar Seminar at the NSW Art Gallery and later that year, awarded the A. Mus. A.. Angelo commenced full time music study at the University of Western Sydney in 1995 and also studied finger-style jazz from Bruce Mathiske to further diversify the number of guitar styles he played.

Not content with the mastering of only one instrument, Angelo, after listening to and being impressed by Howling Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson, James Cotton and the like, in 1986 took up the harmonica (blues harp) and to no-ones surprise, became a very consistently sought after guest for many soloists, duos, and bands, due to his flexibility, talent and feel.
